ARJUN’S TAKE · MADE WITH CHATGPT

GPT-6 Astra.
This is why
I’m all in.

Code. Computer use. The judgment to connect the two. For me, that’s a seriously exciting way to build.

An independent perspective by Arjun Gerald Ramachandran.

NO SMALL ENDORSEMENT

My pick for the best AI
for coding. Full stop.

GPT-6 Astra · Arjun Gerald Ramachandran

I want more than a clever answer. I want to describe an idea, shape it, and open the finished thing. That’s why I’m backing ChatGPT—and why I’m this excited about Astra.

THE CAPABILITY BEHIND THE ENTHUSIASM

OpenAI describes Astra as its most capable model for complex work across code, apps, and research, combining reasoning, computer use, and stronger judgment.

THE PART I’M PROUD OF

We reverse-engineered
the experience.
Then built our own engine.

staRt showed us a compelling idea: let someone see the third peak of their voice move toward a target. We studied what its public demo does, then worked out how to build an independent practice experience in the browser.

01 / OBSERVE

Watch the interaction.

A live voice display. A target line. Words to practice and a chance to judge what you hear. The public experience gave us a clear design challenge.

02 / ENGINEER

Make our own signal.

We wrote local audio analysis to estimate voice resonances, then added checks that hold back feedback when the signal is unclear or inconsistent.

03 / FINISH

Make the moment count.

Choose a target, hold a steady match, and the recording and microphone stop. Your result stays put so you can listen and decide how it sounds.

Inspired by a real idea. Independently implemented. Built with ChatGPT under Arjun’s direction.

THE DETAILS MAKE THE DIFFERENCE

Less guessing.
A clearer finish.

A quick flicker shouldn’t end your attempt. Hold your chosen acoustic target with a clear, consistent signal, and the recording stops. So does the microphone.

Your result stays on screen. Listen back. Decide how it sounds. Then try again when you’re ready.

THE AUTO-STOP HOLD

0.65s

A continuous match.
Not a split-second dip.

A design threshold for acoustic feedback—not a clinical pronunciation standard.
AI HELPED BUILD IT. YOUR DEVICE RUNS IT.

Your voice.
Still yours.

Practice audio is analyzed locally in your browser. It isn’t sent to ChatGPT or to our server. No account needed. No cloud audio analysis. Your latest playback clip and session notes stay in this tab unless you download the notes.

THE BEST PART IS WHAT YOU MAKE

Big AI energy.
Real things to show for it.
